Phone Data Manager
Until now, trying to sync a mobile phone to a PC without using the software provided by the manufacturer was very complicated. Sometimes, even it was an impossible mission with the manufacturer's application.
But now Microsoft has developed a tool called Phone Data Manager that lets you extract multimedia content from any phone connected to a computer via Bluetooth or USB cable.
You can quickly and securely add photos, music and videos to your computer. You can also sync your phone contacts with Windows Live Mobile, so be sure to take advantage if you have a Hotmail account.
All you have to do for Phone Data Manager to connect your computer to your mobile device is to enter the key that the program directs you to.
Not all models are suitable. Microsoft has tried and made this list, including phones from manufacturers like Nokia, Motorola and Sony-Ericsson. This list is not exhaustive, but try it once your model is not in it.
Notes
The minimum requirements to run Photo Data Manager are Windows XP SP2, 256 MB of RAM, 200 MB of free disk space and connectivity to the device via Bluetooth or USB.
