DVD Smith Movie Backup is a Windows application that lets you copy a complete DVD video (full disc), or just the main movie, to your hard drive.
It can get rid of different types of protections that DVDs come with to avoid free copying of their contents, among them: CSS, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs and Sony Arcos.
Select the folder you want the copy to go to and click on the 'Start Backup' button. DVD Smith Movie Backup copies the file structure found on the DVD, so to play it you'll need a program such as VLC Player or PowerDVD.

The program inclues a toolbar for Internet Explorer whose installation is optional.
In addition to the Standard version, an Advanced version exists where you can encode any file that you have created or created in a particular format.
