DocPad
While looking for non-frills text editors, the classic Windows Notepad is always a good place to start, but if you want a more comprehensive option, check the Docpad, which gives you an armament of the tools designed to save time.
The program lets you edit your plain text using functions such as conversion, line jumps, word search and replace, spellcheck, and some extra options, including calculator and a calendar.
Docpad handles Windows Notepad from the same design, which means it supports TXT, LOG, INI and BAT files. But Docpad offers more than 100 changes, HTML file conversion, different text stats, and a 'undo' function for word wrapping.
The program's interface is completely customizable: you can use the skins to change the overall look and feel.
