HostsMan
There is a file in your operating system called 'host' which saves IP addresses for web pages that you want to access, without having to communicate with any DNS server.
HostsMan is a free Windows application that will delete your 'host' file to block domains that may be severe threats to your PC. This specifies these domains blocking your PC's address and contact between your PC and dangerous servers.
However, this strategy can also be used to show you unwanted advertisements from the webpage, so when browsing this program, you will not see any (or rarely) ads.
If you ever use AdBlock in Firefox, you can remember something like a host, but usually for your operating system.
