Seismograph that uses MacBook motion sensors

If you are fortunate enough to hold a MacBook or MacBook Pro, SeisMac takes advantage of a motion sensor included in a laptop and it is an application transformed into a real seismograph.

The movement that the computer perceived is represented by three graphs, which relate to the various spatial coordinates: horizontal displacement (X axis), vertical displacement (Y axis) and depth (Z axis).

Earthquake is not necessary to check the functionality of this program. Simply find it to be around a loud speaker or shake or shake the table, and develop graphics.

SeisMac lets you review the entire history of the session to see if any events have happened, and if so, find out when that happens. Also, it is possible to select the frequency of updates and the scale of values ??represented by the application.

Notes

For Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
