Free Software to play lots of media formats
If you do not know what you can play in a multimedia file, MPlayer is your multimedia player because it supports really different types of video and audio formats. In addition it is part of the free software program, so many programmers participate in its development.
Emplaire MultipatForm, and it lets you use Windows, Mac and Linux. It supports MPEG / VOB, AVI, OGG, ASF / WMA / WMV, QT / MOV / MP4, Real Media or DivX. It can be used by TI VIDID, SVCD or DVD.
In addition, it supports a significant number of output devices: groups of X11, XV, XVMC, VIDIX, XVIDIX, CVIDIX or WINVIDIX supported groups.
MPlayer supports important information on the screen and 12 subtitle formats.
