Control iTunes without leaving the current application
CoverSutra lets you control iTunes from a floating window that is displayed on the active application whenever you press the F6 key. From this window you can see album art, song title, artist, and album name for the current song, as well as your playback button.
CoverSutra can be turned from an icon on the menu bar, which shows information about the current song. If you click on the icon, you can use the iTunes Search function.
CoverSutra is also compatible with LastFM. It shows album art for the current song on your desktop and you can use different keyboard shortcuts to control the playback without using your mouse.

For Mac OS X 10.6 or later. Users with Mac OS X Tiger or Leopard should download the application from this link.
